X-raying the star-disk magnetic interaction in V1647 Ori openParMcNeil.s NebulaclosePar
收藏资源简介:
Our CXO and XMM followups of the outburst of V1647 Ori have shown stronglyenhanced variable Xray emission, occuring as a consequence of the high diskaccretion rate. Our analysis of the combined Xray datasets indicates thatXrays emerge with a 0.7 day periodicity, which is consistent with a modulationby the Keplerian rotation of the inner accretion disk. New longer Xrayobservations are crucial to confirm this periodicity because, if correct, thisresult provides a unique view of the source of high energy emission and woulddramatically confirm that the Xray outburst of V1647 Ori emerges from thestardisk interaction region. Moreover, the new Xray absorption measurementwill allow a temporal study of the massloss.
