Raw dataset supporting the findings of the study on smoking and dry eye disease among Gazan adults

This dataset supports a cross-sectional study assessing the relationship between smoking and dry eye disease in a Gazan population. It includes de-identified participant-level data on smoking status, dry eye symptoms, and ocular surface clinical findings, including Arab-OSDI, tear breakup time, Schirmer test, and corneal fluorescein staining. Additional demographic and clinical variables were collected to evaluate potential confounding and interacting factors. The dataset was generated to compare dry eye parameters between smokers and non-smokers and to investigate the multifactorial determinants of dry eye signs and symptoms in this setting.
