Canadian Gallup Poll, October 1976, #393

This Gallup poll seeks the opinions of Canadians, on both political and social issues. The questions ask opinions about Trudeau's cabinet and other political issues within the country. There are also questions on other topics of interest and importance to the country and government, such as the preferred method of travel; International hockey and the Canada Cup. The respondents were also asked questions so that they could be grouped according to geographical variables. Topics of interest include: the discovery of atomic energy; the effects of labour unions in Canada; French-English relations; giving Quebec the right to separate; improving the Canadian economy; interest in International hockey; overnight travel by train; the preferred method of travel for long trips; the successfulness of family life; traveling by air; Trudeau's cabinet changes; and watching Canada Cup hockey. Basic demographic variables are also included.
