资源简介:
Arundo donax L., commonly known as giant reed, has garnered attention as a promising energy crop for biofuel conversion and biorefineries. This study focuses on the complete sequencing, assembly, and annotation of the chloroplast genome of a specific cultivar of A. donax, named Lvzhou No.1. This cultivar originated in Lesotho and has been introduced to China since 2008. The chloroplast genome has a size of 137,153 bp and a GC content of 39%. Through the analysis, we identified a total of 84 protein-coding genes, 38 tRNA genes, and 8 rRNA genes in the obtained genomic sequence. Phylogenetic analysis confirmed that Lvzhou No.1 belongs to the Arundionideae clade and occupies a distinct evolutionary position compared to other Arundo species.
