Dataset maintained by the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment (DDPHE), Food in Communities (FIC) team. Data steward: Jessika Brenin Processing steps include compiling data from MHF and other sources, standardizing location and attribute fields, removing duplicates, and validating site information where possible. This dataset includes locations of farmers markets and farm stands across Denver to support analysis of local food access and distribution channels. Data sources include: Farmers market (including mobile market) data consolidated by DDPHE staff from multiple sources into a single master dataset. Retention policy: Retained as long as data remains relevant for food systems planning and analysis. Update cadence: Updated annually Data quality: Good This dataset categorizes food access points as follows: Farmers Markets: Public market where local farmers, and food producers sell fresh produce, meats, dairy, baked goods, and other locally grown products directly to community. Mobile Farmer's Market: Traveling market (often a truck, van, or bus) that is equipped to sell fresh food such as fruits, vegetables, and pantry staples.
