Dynamics of Podospora anserina genome evolution in the long-term experiment (PaLTEE)

The Podospora anserina long-term evolution experiment (PaLTEE) is the only running filamentous fungus study, which is still going on. Our research team is exploring the evolutionary dynamics of eight haploid independent fungal populations. These project presents whole-genome sequencing (WGS) data for passages no. 400 and no. 532.The purpose of this work is to trace the dynamics of the accumulation of mutations in the genomes of experimental populations of P. anserina over a long time interval. Initial project started in 2012 with 8 independent experimental lines. We continued the evolutionary experiment for next 8 years under the same conditions. During this time, genome-wide sequencing of all fungal lines was carried out twice. The data obtained are presented and analyzed here.
