SCAN2HBIM - From 3D Survey to BIM for Cultural Heritage
收藏资源简介:
SCAN2HBIM – From 3D Survey to BIM for Cultural Heritage is a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) focused on the integration of advanced 3D surveying, point-cloud processing, and BIM/HBIM methodologies for the documentation, analysis, and digital representation of cultural heritage. The project combines virtual learning activities with an intensive on-site programme, guiding participants through the complete Scan-to-HBIM workflow. The activities include survey planning, close-range photogrammetry, terrestrial and mobile laser scanning, SLAM-based acquisition, georeferencing and registration of datasets, point-cloud processing, geometric analysis, and the generation of plans, elevations, sections, and other reference products. Particular attention is given to the management and interpretation of point-cloud data using tools such as CloudCompare and PointCab, as well as to their subsequent integration into BIM environments. The processed survey data are used as the geometric basis for the development of BIM/HBIM models in Autodesk Revit or Graphisoft Archicad, addressing the representation of complex heritage elements such as irregular walls, arches, vaults, roofs, openings, and architectural details. An important component of the programme is the field survey of a selected cultural heritage asset, during which international student teams acquire photogrammetric and laser-scanning data, establish control points, verify data completeness and quality, and organise raw data and metadata for subsequent processing. The project promotes an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to heritage documentation, connecting geomatics, digital surveying, 3D data processing, architectural representation, and BIM/HBIM modelling. Expected outputs include survey plans and field records, organised raw datasets and metadata, registered and georeferenced point clouds, photogrammetric products, BIM/HBIM models, model validation documentation, technical drawings and views, and final team presentations.
