Data for "Growing imbalance between supply and demand for flood regulation service in the Asian water tower and its downstream region"

This dataset consists of three components: (1) geographic vector boundaries used in Li et al. (2025), "Growing imbalance between supply and demand for flood regulation service in the Asian water tower and its downstream region"; (2) the spatial pattern of the flood regulation service (FRS) supply-demand ratio in 1990, along with its historical changes (1990–2020) and projected future trends (2020–2050); and (3) data supporting selected figures in the manuscript. Data description: 1. SHPThe dataset includes vector boundary data for the study area, where AWT_boundary.shp delineates the Asian Water Tower boundary and Basin_boundary.shp delineates the basin boundary used in the analysis. 2. GEOTIFSDR_1990 contains the spatial pattern of the supply-demand ratio (SDR) for FRS in 1990, including both annual and seasonal results.SDR_Trend_1990-2020 contains the trend analysis results of the SDR from 1990 to 2020, including both annual and seasonal results.SDR_Trend_2020-2050 contains the trend analysis results from 2020 to 2050 under different scenarios, including both annual and seasonal results. 3. TABLESDR_Figure.xlsx contains the SDR data used for some figures.
