Songbird Song Data

This dataset comprises songs recorded from both juvenile and adult zebra finches (Taeniopygia guttata). The dataset is primarily being used in the Computational Neuroscience Crash Course (https://github.com/bordeaux-neurocampus) at the Neurocampus (Université de Bordeaux).<br><br><b>Detailed information:</b><br>Species: Zebra finch<br>Life period: adults (90-720 days post hatch) and juveniles (30-60 days post hatch)<br>Recordings were performed between Jan 2014 and July 2016.<br>Conditions: undirected singing (no female present).Birds were housed individually in acoustic isolation boxes for periods of 1-3 weeks and audio recordings were performed continuously during this period. Vocalizations were sorted from other sounds (cage noise, flapping, movement) after the end of the recording period. <br>Sampling Frequency: 44100 Hz<br>Information on hardware: Recorded with Prodipe A1 microphones and M-Audio Fast Track or Steinberg UR44 external sound card. <br><br>Part of this dataset was used in the reference below.
