Observing System Simulation Experiment (OSSE) around Hawai‘i for Sea Surface Height (SSH) reconstruction and separation of balanced motions and internal tides from Nadir and SWOT Altimeters

This dataset includes all files related to the Observing System Simulation Experiment (OSSE) around Hawai'i for the Sea Surface Height (SSH) Balanced Motions (BM) and Internal Tides reconstruction and separation using satellite altimetry data, including both SWOT and nadir altimeters. It contains SSH reconstruction results for BM and IT (when available), using the method described in Bellemin-Laponnaz et al. (in preparation), across the configurations: QG/SW (BM and IT separation and reconstruction), QG (BM reconstruction), and QG/SW N (BM and only coherent IT separation and reconstruction).
The SSH observations and reference fields were generated from the MITgcm LLC4320 high-resolution ocean simulation (dataset).
