资源简介:
Photograph of a close-up of the procedure to pick lemons, ca.1930. The dimpled lemons appear to be presented through the dark leaves by their thick stems as two hands in lightly-colored gloves pick one from the tree. The left hand holds one of the dark lemons gently while the right hand severs the stem with small clippers. Caption reads: "Southern California lemon trees produce continuously. Every month all fruit which is too large to pass through a ring of a certain diameter is cut off. Special clippers are used to avoid abrasions. Lemons picked green are more tart than lemons fully ripe".
