Tree Core Increment Data, Watershed 4, Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, 1985-1986

Time series of annual tree ring increments were
collected on Watershed 4 during the winter of 1985-1986 for
trees of four species: beech, white ash, yellow birch, and
sugar maple. The purpose of the study was to compare these
time series with a selection of measured and derived
environmental variables to develop a more sensitive model of
tree diameter growth. These data were gathered as part of the Hubbard Brook
Ecosystem Study (HBES). The HBES is a collaborative effort at
the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, which is operated and
maintained by the USDA Forest Service, Northern Research
Station.
