Chromosome differentiaion between Z and W potentially involved in sex determination in turbot

To find diagnostic SNP of the Z and W chromosomes potentially involved in sex determination in turbot, we resequenced five males (ZZ: M1, M2, M3, M4, M5) and five WW females (F1, F2, F3, F4, F5) (WW) using an Illumina 150 bp pair end sequencing approach taking the new turbot genome as referenceTo reassemble the turbot genome using long-read Oxford Nanopore sequecing, we sequenced one ZZ male (NM) and one WW female (NF).We genotyped 1181 fishes pertaining to 36 full-sib families and their 46 for 18,214 SNPs using 2bRAD-Seq [53] to look for association between sex and markers at population and family level through genome wide association studies
