The files include survey drafting papers, gazette slips concerned with the establishment or revocation of the public watering place, plan surveys, papers connected with the establishment or revocation of a public watering place or part thereof, and construction papers. Also included is correspondence between the shire clerks and the Department of Public Works concerning various aspects of the public watering place. File 587 (in 7/1433) concerns some tanks in the Western Division as well, as being mainly progress reports on certain public watering places, 1910-14. Three files, nos.183-185 in 7/1420, are concerned with surveys on bore casing in general, from 1903.(7/1413-53). 41 boxes.
