This is the data file related to the article entitled "Assessment of the depositional characteristics of the Yellow River estuary from 1960s by 239+240Pu and 137Cs ". The soil samples for the paper were collected from the Yellow River estuary in May 2022. The 239+240Pu activities were determined by sector-field ICP-MS, and the 137Cs activities were determined by HPGe γ-spectrometry. The data file include information on latitude, longitude of the sampling sites, the 239+240Pu and 137Cs activities and average particle size in the samples. Additional information about these data can be found in the paper.
