This dataset contains recorded spiking activity from two monkeys performing a random-dot motion discrimination task with either two or four choice alternatives. The data consists of extracellular recordings from 70 well-isolated neurons in area LIPv, obtained using Alpha Omega electrodes inserted into the LIP area. Neural signals were amplified and recorded using the Omniplex system (Plexon). Neurons were selected based on anatomical and physiological criteria, and all exhibited spatially selective responses during the delay period in both overlap and memory-guided saccade tasks.This dataset was originally published in:Churchland, A.
