Raw Data_ Drives and Conflict Mechanisms in College Students’ Intention to Use AI from the Perspective of Self-Control and Moral Conflict

The dataset, “Raw Data_ Drives and Conflict Mechanisms in College Students’ Intention to Use AI from the Perspective of Self-Control and Moral Conflict”, was collected through a random sampling method between June and July 2025 using an online survey administered via the Wenjuanxing platform (https://www.wjx.cn/). After removing 18 invalid questionnaires with missing values or extreme response patterns, a total of 782 valid responses were retained. This dataset was designed to explore how academic procrastination predicts college students’ intention to use AI, with a particular focus on the mediating roles of academic anxiety and self-control, as well as the moderating role of AI guilt. It provides empirical evidence for understanding the psychological mechanisms of AI usage under academic pressure and moral conflict, and offers theoretical and data support for developing strategies to foster responsible and sustainable use of AI in higher education.
