Coastal Modeling Vertical Datum Package

Accurate conversions between vertical datums are a fundamental requirement for operational coastal modeling, storm surge prediction, and inundation mapping. However, integrating standard transformation tools into automated, Python-based modeling workflows is often hindered by software complexity, lack of transparency, and difficulties in handling proprietary “black-box” logic. This report introduces the Coastal Modeling Vertical Datum package, an open-source, lightweight Python library designed to streamline these transformations for the ocean circulation community.
