Immunosenescence has recently emerged as a key focus in tumor immune microenvironment research and has been proven to be a critical factor in tumor progression. Among immune cells, macrophages are essential components of the immune system. Macrophage senescence has been identified in studies of respiratory and nervous system tumors and has been demonstrated to promote tumor development. Therefore, we hypothesize that as an indispensable immune population in liver, the state and function of macrophages must undergo changes during HCC development. Currently, research on HCC-associated macrophage senescence remains scarce. This study aims to construct an in vitro senescence model of tumor-associated macrophages, screen for senescence-related differentially expressed genes, and validate the in vitro findings through animal and human tissue experiments. The goal is to explore the impact of macrophage senescence on the tumor microenvironment and HCC progression, thereby providing new insights for HCC treatment.
