NoVA Stationary Source Air Emissions Atlas, 2011-2023

Every EPA National Emissions Inventory point source in the nine Northern Virginia jurisdictions, harmonised across five triennial NEI cycles (2011, 2014, 2017, 2020, 2023): 104 facilities, 301 facility-cycle records, six criteria pollutants and 108 hazardous air pollutant species normalised to short tons. Regional point-source NOx fell 33 percent from 2011 to 2023 but has risen 38 percent since its 2017 low, and NEI-reporting data centers went from 1 facility emitting 16.7 tons of NOx in 2011 to 23 facilities emitting 335.2 tons in 2023 - 17.4 percent of all non-aviation point-source NOx in the region. Includes DBSCAN spatial clusters, IsolationForest emission-profile anomaly flags, a per-jurisdiction rollup, and a 290-facility edge-ring context layer covering NEI point sources within 40 km outside the boundary.Produced by the Keystone GIS Northern Virginia Autonomous GIS Research Program.
