Fine-grained population structure of Baltic herring reflects spawning distribution in time and space

Population genetic analysis of spawning Atlantic herring populations captured from the Baltic Sea, and genotyped on the MultiFishSNPChip_1.0 array (FSHSTK1D). The analysis focused on characterising putative populations and clinal genetic variation relative to environmental conditions. Sampling and genotyping was done in connection with the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management under their program for monitoring of genetic diversity.
