Opinion on appointment of Vásquez as president of the Council of Ministers 2021

According to a survey carried out in October 2021, 41 percent of Peruvians approve of the appointment of the environmental lawyer and former president of the Congress, Mirtha Vásquez, as the president of the Council of Ministers. She was appointed to replace Guido Bellido Ugarte, who submitted his resignation less than two months after the Peruvian Congress approved the cabinet of the new president Pedro Castillo. Amidst this political crisis, Castillo's approval rate fell to its lowest point to date.
