As of October 2020, 19 percent of upper-income respondents said that they were very concerned that their children will fall behind in school due to disruptions caused by COVID-19. On the other hand, 36 percent of lower-income respondents said they were very concerned with their children falling behind. The COVID-19 outbreak in 2020 has caused schools to shut down and resort to online learning instead.
