Factors associated with coverage of mandatory livestock vaccines in Peru: a cross-sectional analysis of the National Agricultural Survey (ENA), 2022–2024

This dataset contains data from a secondary analysis of the National Agricultural Survey (Encuesta Nacional Agropecuaria, ENA) for the years 2022–2024, a nationally and regionally representative survey conducted by the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) of Peru. The study population were direct owners of livestock production units reporting the presence of cattle, swine, or poultry. Variables includes livestock unit characteristics and owner sociodemographics.The primary outcome was mandatory livestock immunization status, operationalized as a dichotomous variable (1 = vaccinated; 0 = not vaccinated) based on the administration of vaccines required by the National Agrarian Health Service (SENASA). Specifically, the data tracks compliance with mandatory vaccination against anthrax (cattle and swine), rabies (cattle), blackleg (cattle), classical swine fever (swine), and Newcastle disease (poultry). Observations with incomplete sociodemographic or vaccination data were excluded.
