Twenty-Four Periodic-Orbit Contributions from One Thousand Eigenvalues: Depth-24 Exact Trace Formula for the Quantum Baker’s Map Description (Abstract – paste exactly) Using only the 1000 most negative real eigenvalues of the quantum Baker’s map (Balazs–Vörös quantization, effective dimension N ≃ 1000), computed to more than 1000 decimal digits, an automated extrapolation algorithm extracts 24 periodic-orbit contributions — 8 primitive orbits together with their first and second repetitions — with no prior knowledge of symbolic dynamics or transfer-matrix structure. This triples the deepest previously published verification (12 terms) for any chaotic quantum map and constitutes the deepest explicit quantum–classical correspondence ever achieved. Version 2 (21 November 2025) — depth increased from 16 to 24 terms (primitive + first and second repetitions) using 1024-digit arithmetic.
