Images and GIS Data from an Evaluation at Improvement Works to Frilford Junction, Frilford, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, 2023.

This collection comprises images and GIS files from an archaeological evaluation carried out by Cotswold Archaeology at Frilford Junction, Frilford, Abingdon, Oxfordshire from January to April 2023. A total of three trenches were excavated.
The evaluation identified a series of ditches and pits that were broadly dateable to the Iron Age and Roman periods and are potentially associated with agricultural activity. Limited evidence of late medieval clay extraction activity was also recorded.
