Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation at Hardwick Hill Cemetery, Banbury, Cherwell, Oxfordshire, January 2021

This collection consists of images, text, GIS and site record data from an archaeological evaluation by Oxford Archaeology. Work occurred on the site of a proposed extension at Hardwick Hill Cemetery, Banbury, in January 2021. Evidence suggests the site was encompassed by a late Iron Age to early Roman field system or a complex of settlement enclosures located on the drier ground. Multiple parallel post-medieval furrows crossed the site from east to west, completely truncating any earlier features that they intersected.
