Airborne Lidar Data from the Fort Stewart 2025 Wildland Fire Science Initiative (WFSI) Research Burn Campaign

This dataset contains airborne light detection and ranging (lidar) data across burn units E11.1, E16.2, E16.3, F3.3, F6.6, F8.1 and F8.2 in Fort Stewart, GA. Kucera International acquired airborne lidar on 23 May 2025, after prescribed fires that occurred from 14 to 18 April 2025. Lidar data were acquired to characterize post-fire vegetation. Lidar point cloud data are provided in LAZ format, with an accompanying shapefile representing LAZ file boundaries.This dataset is part of the Wildland Fire Science Initiative (WFSI) research burn campaign held at Fort Stewart from April 14, 2025 to April 18, 2025. In addition, pre- and post-fire data collection occurred before and after these dates.
