The sequencing datasets were generated from Illumina single-end libraries (75 bp) prepared for each experimental condition. Conditions were: DMSO, U0126, Z-VAD or iCRT14 treatments in regenerating Nematostella polyps at 20 hours post amputation. Three biological replicates for each condition were sequenced. Raw reads were demultiplexed using bcl2fastq, and a default trimming step was performed with Trimmomatic to remove sequencing adapters and low-quality bases. The resulting datasets were further assessed with FastQC, and additional cleaning was carried out using fastp with default parameters; this step is required prior to data use.
