The price remains the leading factor influencing shopping behavior in Japan, as revealed in a survey conducted in November 2023. While over 44 percent of respondents stated that they buy the cheapest products as much as possible if similar products are available, less than five percent would consider recommendations over social networking services (SNS) and blogs.
