Annotated English Verb Noun collocation dataset

This list contains 250 sentences where the machine-extracted verb (V) noun (N) pairs are marked as correct collocation (Yes) or not (No) by three raters. The raters are native English speakers and English teachers with experience for more than three years. Sentences are randomly selected from three corpora: 230 sentences from the EF-Cambridge Open Language Database (EF), 10 sentences from the British National Corpus (BNC), and 10 sentences from the NUS Corpus of Learner English (NUCLE). For the sentences selected from EF, the topics of the texts, the learners' L1 and CEFR levels are also listed. Note that the spelling errors made by the learners are conserved. Note also that there are some lemmatizationation and part-of-speech tagging errors.
