Intra Population Genetic Diversity of Rotavirus A Strain Impacts on Free Chlorine Sensitivity

Rotavirus forms a dynamic distribution of a mutant swarm, termed as quasispecies. Since a mutant swarm includes various mutants showing different phenotypes, we examined whether rotavirus population acquired the resistance to selective pressure (free chlorine disinfection) under serial passages with free chlorine disinfection. To identify the factor of free chlorine sensitivity change, we analyzed NGS data of each rotavirus population.
