UTAD Grapevine Varieties Dataset 2025

UTAD'25 – Grapevine Leaf Images for Variety Classification (2025 season) UTAD'25 is a dataset of RGB images of grapevine leaves for grapevine variety classification. It is the third set of the UTAD Grapevine Varieties collection (https://zenodo.org/records/15160944) and follows UTAD'23 and UTAD'24. It uses the same acquisition protocol and the same label space as UTAD'24, so the three sets can be combined to study how classification models behave across seasons. Acquisition Date: all images were acquired on a single day in June 2025. Device: a single smartphone, a Samsung Galaxy S23. Locations: Palácio de Mateus and the farm of the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), both in Vila Real, Portugal, and Vila Nova de Foz Côa, Portugal. In Vila Nova de Foz Côa, only 8 varieties were acquired. Conditions: leaves were photographed in the vineyard under natural conditions. Because it was acquired on a single day with a single device, UTAD'25 is the most homogeneous set of the collection, which makes it useful as a controlled point of comparison.
