mass at first juvenile emergence for GPD fems that DID vs did NOT wean a litter (Fig 14.12) OLD File name = GPDs, Wean vs fem wt, 1 datum per fem per year, 24 April 2022 On 24 April 2022, this file has now been checked TWO TIMES. All data come also from checked files. This file started from File Name = GPDs, Body mass, VCNP, 03 April 2023 Notes for VCNP data: Note on 27 March 2023. On 30 April 2018 through 08 May 2018, I re-marked, weighed, and did ultrasounds for many GPDs. These weights are NOT in the time period I will use for the chapter on body mass. So, I have NOT entered most of these GPDs in this file. Many of these weights are for GPD females in LATE PREGNANCY--JUST 1-2 DAYS BEFORE THE SCHEDULED DATE OF PARTURTION ON 29 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF ESTRUS AND COPULATION. Cases affected for 30 April 2018 through 08 May 2018 are 1333 through 1376. Note well: For all cases of 1333 through 1376, I do not use for any analyses. I DO record data from 30 April through 09 May from all males and many non-lac fems. Hard copy of data for this file was compiled and summarized by research assistant who left to work on Lane's red squirrels. She checked hard copy ONE TIME, and I also checked hard copy ONE TIME ONLY. I do not use female weights if comments say either "Ultrasound" or "Do not use". To check for sex, sort file BY SEX and look for any problems. Note on 15 April 2023. I find several 2018 body masses from data sheets from the field for which I collected information on body mass and fleas. I add the information from these sheets to this file on 15 April 2023. All these new data from 2018. I do NOT use flea data in this file for any GPD analyses. GPD flea analyses are in other files and chapters. Reprostatus = reproductive status. See next line. Note on 17 April 2023. For females, Reprostatus 0 = No litter, and Reprostatus = 1 = weaned litter. I do not enter any information for males and females when Wt >=25 April and WT <= 15 May I only enter 0 or 1 when Wt >=16 May This entire file checked with Judy on 15-17 April 2023, and one time only by JLH alone on earlier date. This file started with file = GPDs, PEFO bodywts from Julia Phillip, 10 Aug 2020 If we first marked a GPD of unknown age and it lived for >=4 years, I assigned an age of 3 for the third year and an age of 4 for the 4th year. I did NOT assign an age for the first or second year. I will use NO DATA for survivorship from 1995 until later, because my last year of research at PEFO was 1995. SOME DATA from 1995 are here, but I will not use any of them. In general I did not use any weights after 15 April in any year. In a few cases, however, I used data for a few days after 15 April. I did NOT use data from females that were obviously far along in pregnancy (e.g., med teats) or for any males that copulated. I did use a few weights for a few nonbreeding yearling males and for a few females that were NOT far along in pregnancy (e.g., no teats, tiny teats, or small teats). Similarly, in general I did not use any weights before 15 May in an year. In a few cases, however, I use data a few days before 15 May. I cannot figure out the identity of the dog with eartag = A48A in 1994. So I ignore this GPD. In 1994, I marked two GPD females with marker = 68.
