Barrolka 26 was spudded on at 05:00hrs on the 26th of May 2022 by the onshore drilling rig Ensign 967. The 9- 7/8inch vertical surface hole was drilled from the base of the previously set 16inch conductor at 10.6mMD to section TD at 804.0mMD. A string of 7-5/8inch 26.4 lb/ft K55 BTC surface casing was run and cemented with the shoe set at 802.0mMD. Barrolka 26 intersected targeted pay in the Toolachee PC30, PC 35, PC40, and secondary target Patchawarra VL32 and successfully achieved the appraisal objective of obtaining further supporting evidence to validate the seismic waveform classification for presence of sand at the well location. A string of 4-1/2inch production casing was run to a shoe depth of 2707.5mMD and, Barrolka 26 was suspended as a future gas producer. Ensign 967 was released at 16:00 hours on the 10th of June 2022.
