We report RNA sequencing data that shows the differential effects of HLA-DRb1*0401 (SE) and HLA-DRb1*0402 (PE) on macrophage gene expression under M1 and M2 polarizing cell culture conditions. mRNA profiles obtained from cells cultured in presence of synthetic peptides coding the 65-79 region of HLA-DRb1*0401 (SE) or HLA-DRb*0402 (PE), and IFNy (for M1) or IL-4 (for M2).
