The goal of this study is to identify endophytic bacteria from sugarcane that are either commensal, beneficial and or pathogenic. Sugarcane is an important crop plant for the island of Jamaica and there are relatively few studies detailing the plant/bacterial relationship of this important crop plant. Originally submitted as Pseudomonas chlororaphis subsp. aureofaciens strain DSM 6698.
