Data related to "Breakdown of Stratification and Enhanced Tidal Pumping in a Meso-tidal Bay: Impact of Typhoon on Sediment Dynamics"
收藏资源简介:
This dataset was obtained from an acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) deployed at the mooring station (34°50′05″N, 127°48′31″E) in the main channel of Yeosu Bay to investigate variations in suspended sediments during a typhoon event. An up-looking ADCP (Workhorse Sentinel 600 kHz; Teledyne RDI), deployed in a trawl-resistant bottom mount, was configured to record three-dimensional current velocities, water level, temperature, and echo intensity at 5-minute intervals from August 19 to September 20, 2022. In addition, hydro-meteorological data including wind speed and direction, significant wave height, water temperature, and salinity were collected from nearby monitoring stations. The processed dataset provides time series of current velocity (m s⁻1), suspended sediment concentration (SSC, mg l⁻1), suspended sediment flux (kg m⁻2 s⁻1), and hydro-meteorological variables.
