Field-of-View Matching Method of Two Polarization Instruments on Same Aviation Platform

In this paper, a scanning polarimeter (POSP) and a simultaneous imaging polarization camera (SIPC) installed on the same aviation platform during the flight experiment are used as examples. A method for fast field-of-view matching of single SIPC image and POSP subsatellite point adjacent data in a single scanning circle is proposed. The SIPC data with high spatial resolution are resampled to match the spatial resolution of POSP by means of the smear weight coefficient template in the POSP rotation scan acquisition mode. Then the consistency of SIPC resampling data and POSP data at different locations is measured, and the position with the strongest consistency is selected as the field-of-view matching position. Finally, the SIPC pixel relative number with the highest data correlation in multiple scenes acquired by field-of-view matching of two instruments is used as the reference field-of-view matching position, and the mean absolute error of matching position and the reference position calculated in multiple scenes is taken as the field-of-view matching error, which is about 10 SIPC pixels, that is 0.12 POSP pixels, and it meets the application needs.
