DATA: Artificial light amplifies climate-driven range contraction and northward retreat of the Iberian firefly Luciola lusitanica (Coleoptera: Lampyridae)
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the supplementary data and spatial layers associated with the ecological niche modelling of Luciola lusitanica (Charpentier, 1825), a western European firefly species characterized by flightless females and reproduction mediated by bioluminescent sexual signalling. We evaluated its current and future potential distribution across the Iberian Peninsula using ensemble ecological niche models based on climatic, physiographic, and land-use/land-cover predictors. Two modelling frameworks were compared: models excluding artificial light at night (CPLL) and otherwise equivalent models incorporating artificial light at night (CPLLA). Future ALAN layers used in the projections were obtained from the environmental dataset developed by Alencar et al. (2026) (https://doi.org/10.1111/icad.70120). The deposited material is intended to support transparency, reproducibility, and reuse of the spatial data and modelling framework employed in this study.
