NRS-23690 | Statistical Returns

This series comprises notes and statistics calculating coal production, stocks and consumption in the Commonwealth of Australia. The information was compiled by the Commonwealth Coal Commissioner, Commonwealth Coal Commission and Commonwealth Coal Commissioner [II]. The information was gathered in an ad hoc manner initially, before becoming more formalised and regular. The statistics include calculations to determine the amount of coal produced in Australia, stocks of coal, location of coal stocks, interstate imports, overseas exports and the consumption of coal in NSW and other states. At times the statistics are presented in hand drawn tables. The series is arranged chronologically.
