README------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION:------------This repository provides the essential data and files for reproducing and visualizing the results presented in the paper entitled 'Sloshing Dynamics Estimation for Liquid-filled Containers Performing 3-Dimensional Motions: Modeling and Experimental Validation'. CSV FILES:----------#######################################################################################################################################################In the "Trajectories" folder, the files named with <trajectory>_<dyn>.csv (where <trajectory> can refer to the l, e, c, l3, e3 and c3 motions described in the paper), contain the trajectory imposed to the liquid-filled container.In particular, in every .csv file the data are organized as follows. The <dyn> character value refers to the tested dynamics (<dyn> = low, med, high). Columns: [1] Time [s] [2] x_0 container position along x [m] [3] y_0 container position along y [m] [4] z_0 container position along z [m] [5] \dot{x}_0 container velocity along x [m/s] [6] \dot{y}_0 container velocity along y [m/s] [7] \dot{z}_0 container velocity along z [m/s] [8] \ddot{x}_0 container acceleration along x [m/s²] [9] \ddot{y}_0 container acceleration along y [m/s²] [10]\ddot{z}_0 container acceleration along z [m/s²] #######################################################################################################################################################In the "Sloshing Height 2D" folder, the files named <trajectory>_<dyn>_exp.csv, <trajectory>_<dyn>_2D_NL.csv, <trajectory>_<dyn>_2D_L.csv, contain the data regarding the experimental sloshing height, the 2D NL and the L formulations, for the motions indicated with <trajectory> (where <trajectory> can refer to the l, e and c motions described in the paper) and for the tested dynamics (<dyn> = low, med, high).In each .csv file the data are organized as follows. Columns: [1] Time [s] [2] Sloshing height η [mm] CORRESPONDENCE WITH PAPER FIGURES:---------------------------------- The folder "Sloshing Height 2D" also contains a brief Matlab script "plotSloshingHeight2D.m" that allows to generate the plots in Fig. 8. The folder "Sloshing Height 3D" also contains a brief Matlab script "plotSloshingHeight3D.m" that allows to generate the plots in Fig. 10. VIDEOS:------- The "Video" directory contains the videos recorded by the GoPro camera mounted on the experimental setup (Fig. 4). The videos corresponding to the recorded container motions are named with <trajectory>_<dyn>.MP4 (where <trajectory> can refer to the l, e, c, l3, e3 and c3 motions described in the paper, and <dyn> can take values low, med and high). Additionally, for reproducibility reasons, a `.mat` file containing the pose data of a marker placed in correspondence of the container prior to experiments, is provided. The marker pose is used within the computer-vision technique to detect the liquid sloshing height.
