Subtropical Shelf Front cruise - Lowered Acoustic Doppler Profiler (LADCP) data

This dataset contains LADCP profiles collected during the Subtropical Shelf Front Cruise (PD_2013_04) on board the research Vessel Puerto Deseado from 3 to 10 October 2013. An acoustic doppler current meter (ADCP) RDI/Teledyne model Workhorse 300 (300 kHz) was installed in the CTD cage and was used in vertical profiling (Lowered-ADCP). The data are reported in ascii text files. The files consist of a header followed by data converted to engineering units. The header contains station position, date and time, and information regarding the software used for processing the raw data. The header information is followed by data records. Data from individual stations are presented in separate ASCII character files. Each file is named after the LADCP/CTD station number corresponding to this cruise. When available, the variables are presented in the following order: Pressure [dbar] Depth [m] Zonal (E-W) velocity [cm/s] Meridional (N-S) velocity [cm/s] Stations number 3, 22, 28, 29, 39 and 41 are too shallow and could not be processed satisfactorily. The LADCP data was edited and calibrated at the Servicio de Hidrografia Naval, Argentina ([e-mail]).
