ACORN (Accumulated Carbon on Range and Natural lands), a resource for carbon estimation in California oak woodlands

A draft version of a resource for estimation of carbon sequestration in California oak woodlands. Data sources include USDA Forest Inventory Analysis (FIA) plots, published peer-reviewed papers, and the grey literature, including unpublished reports and undergraduate theses. Plots met criteria for Manual of California Vegetation classification in one of eight types of oak-dominated habitat. Plots were area-based censuses of all woody individuals measured for diameter at breast height, permitting the calculation of biomass and carbon according to standard allometric equations. The dataset consists of data summed by plot as well as a comprehensive listing of all individual trees, both presented in the style of an FIA database.
