Evolutionary alalyses and sequence feature of Hox genes in turtles data set

In this study, Hox genes were identified in the Testudines with chromosome-level genomes. Using bioinformatics methods, chromosome location, repeated sequence enrichment analysis, sequence analysis, protein spatial structure analysis and adaptive evolution analysis were performed on these genes. It lays the foundation for further research on the function of Hox genes in Testudines. The dataset was submitted in this paper consists of two parts: original data and supplementary materials. The original data include the protein coding sequence, protein sequence and ancestral sequence of 39 Hox genes in 9 turtles, as well as the location information of the genes on the chromosome based on homology prediction. Supplementary materials includes genome information of 9 species of Turtles, as well as Hox gene intron and exon length distribution, Hox gene cluster chromosomal location and related pictures of protein structure mutations.
