Fire perimeter files for wildfires and prescribed fires in Everglades National Park 1948-2019

Everglades National Park has an extensive fire program. The park records both prescribed and wildfires by digitizing fires that occur within the park boundaries. Fire perimeters are provided as a shape file that has all known fires that occurred from 1948 to 2019. These perimeters were digitized by park staff to record the outer boundaries of fires. Files obtained from the park where annual shape files of fires. The formatting of these files where standardized in R. They were also combined into a single shape file for the ease of publishing that was then put in a folder and compressed.
