资源简介:

This repository contains manually verified BirdNET detections of great hornbills (Buceros bicornis) and oriental pied hornbills (Anthracoceros albirostris) derived from passive acoustic monitoring conducted in the Jahoo ecotourism site, Andoung Kraleung Village, within Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary, Mondulkiri Province, Cambodia. Acoustic data used in this study were collected between January 2022 and April 2024 using 10 SwiftOne autonomous recording units (K. Lisa Yang Center for Conservation Bioacoustics, Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Cornell University, USA). Recorders were deployed in a dense evergreen forest at approximately 250 m spacing. The original deployment was designed to monitor two presumed gibbon territories, but the recordings also captured vocalizations of multiple bird species, including hornbills. Recordings were collected at a 32 kHz sampling rate, 16-bit resolution, and 32 dB gain. Audio was stored as continuous 1-hour WAV files. SwiftOne microphones have a sensitivity of −24 ± 3 dB re 1 V/Pa and an ADC clipping level of ±0.9 V. BirdNET was applied to the complete acoustic dataset using the software's default settings. Detection clips were manually verified by the first author to ensure accuracy. This repository includes 6,047 manually verified great hornbill detections (BirdNET confidence score ≥ 0.80) and 13,655 manually verified oriental pied hornbill detections (BirdNET confidence score ≥ 0.90). These data were used to investigate temporal patterns in hornbill vocal activity, including diel and seasonal variation, as reported in the manuscript.
