liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC–MS) of deep-sea mussel after methane deprivation

Gill tissues from deep-sea mussels (Gigantidas platifrons) subjected to methane deprivation were collected and treated with 80% methanol to release all metabolites. After centrifugation at 12,000 g and 10°C for 15 min, the supernatants were divided into four parts and subjected to liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS), gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC–MS), and the corresponding quality control analysis.The raw spectra obtained by LC-MS and GC-MS were decoded by MetaboAnalyst (https://www.metaboanalyst.ca/MetaboAnalyst/ModuleView.xhtml).
