Comparative metatranscriptome analysis in gut reveals insignificant host or microbiota changes in SARS-related coronavirus naturally infected bats

We collected 118 anal swab samples from morphologically identified Rs bats across 13 regions in five provinces of Central and Southern China between 2011 and 2022. After stringent host identification, 82 sample was confirmed as Rhinolophus sinicus bats. Comparison result of metatrasncriptome between SARSr positive and negative bat show that SARSr virus did not significantly alter gut homeostasis of bat.
