Flexible tRNA gene sets during experimental evolution with bacteria

A set of four neighbouring tRNA genes (gluTTC-glyGCC-gluTTC-glyGCC) were deleted from Pseudomonas fluorescens SBW25 by scar-free genetic engineering. This deletion mutant was then evolved by serial transfer, to compensate the resulting fitness drop in rich medium (Kings Medium B). Here, we provide the NGS data for re-sequencing of these evolved genotypes. There are 6 genome sequences from Day 21 (approx. 150 generations) of the evolution experiment: 1 isolate from a lineage founded by the wildtype SBW25 strain (W1-1), and 5 isolates from 5 independent lineages founded by the tRNA gene deletion mutant (M1-1, M2-1, M3-1, M4-1, M5-1).
